Microsoft has made some changes to Microsoft Office 2013 certification lineup recently – shuffled exam numbers a bit and split some exams in two.
Let’s take a look at how it looks now, what MOS exams and certifications are available, what numbers do they have and what are the requirements.

Passing any of the exams listed will get you Microsoft Office 2013 Specialist certification.
Microsoft Office Word 2013 Expert require that you pass both Word 2013 Expert exams – Part 1 and Part 2. You are already guessing – and yes, you are right – Microsoft Office Excel 2013 Expert certification require that you pass both Excel 2013 Expert exams – Part 1 and Part 2.
Finally, to obtain Microsoft Office 2013 Master certification requires that you pass SIX exams in total:
- Microsoft Office Word 2013 Expert – Part 1
- Microsoft Office Word 2013 Expert – Part 2
- Microsoft Office Excel 2013 Expert – Part 1
- Microsoft Office Excel 2013 Expert – Part 2
- Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2013
- and ANY of the following exams:
- Microsoft Office Access 2013, or
- Microsoft Office SharePoint 2013, or
- Microsoft Office OneNote 2013
